"Royal"
Shire Stallion

"Royal" is a registered Shire Stallion.  His sire is  England's "Walton Supreme, grand sire is Dothan Masterpiece.   Two of the greatest stallion in all of England. Not only is he beautiful to look at, "Royal" has the heart and mind of a true Gentle Giant.  He is used in our therapy and beginner rider program due to his super sweet nature, especially with children.  To watch this powerhouse of a breeder go from servicing his ladies to lowering his head for a young child to put on his halter, almost brings one to tears.

She is 1/2 Percheron and 1/2 Andalusian. To be considered a Spanish Norman a horse must possess the proper Percheron and Andalusian bloodlines.

"Jayla" is a registered Friesian.  Her sire is the late great "Piper".  He was one of the highest quality Friesian stallions in the country.  She is in foal to our late stallion "Legend" as well.  She is a 4-year-old first-time momma and we are super excited to see what kind of beautiful baby she will give us. Jayla has the movement, conformation, and temperament we are always looking for in our broodmares.   She is due in early June 2024.

Fallon and Paisley.jpg

"Fallon" is also a registered Shire. She is in foal to our newest stallion "Royal".  She is due in early June 2024.  Fallon is a mare that does it all for us.  She rides/drives and is everyone's favorite.  She is used for beginners in riding lessons and also as a therapy horse.  If ever there was a bomb-proof horse, she is it.

Legend.jpg

"Legend" 2009-2023 (in memory of)
He is the Shire that started it all.  He is the reason Shire Valley exists.  We believe he was a once in a lifetime horse.  As our very first Shire, he was not a Giant of a Stallion, standing at only 16.2, but he threw the most gorgeous babies who always averaged over 17 hands.  He stamped all his babies with his wonderful disposition and beautiful markings.  He was so gentle kids/beginners could ride or drive him.  He was a kind guy even with hot mares around, he knew when he had to behave. Legend past in August of 2023 from kidney failure.  Before he became ill, he bred two mares for 2024 foals.  We are so excited for these two, as they will be his last.  Legend bloodlines go back to the coveted "Fox Valley" horses from the eccentric breeder, Thomas Smurt. He was first known for the invention of the upside-down spray aerosol can, then for his magnificent Fox Valley Farm, boasting over 300 Shires at his farm in Illinois.  Among them were the only Great -Grey Shire team in the US.  At the time this video was made, there were only 2 Great-Grey horse hitch teams in the entire world.
