Key Historical Landmarks

  • The Sheridan Inn: Formerly operated by Buffalo Bill Cody, this spot served as a front-row seat for history; Cody famously watched auditions for his Wild West Show from the north porch.

  • Trail End Historic Center: Known as the “Kendrick Mansion,” this Wyoming State Museum site was a labor of love constructed between 1913 and 1918.

  • Fort Mackenzie: Established in 1899, this former military outpost has transitioned into the local VA Hospital.

  • Bradford Brinton Memorial: Located south of town in Big Horn, the Quarter Circle A Ranch (built in 1892) houses a massive collection of Western art and is open to the public.
