Kendrick Park

Kendrick Park is a beautiful city park featuring a small bison and elk pasture, a playground, and a famous seasonal ice cream stand.

Kendrick Park serves as a scenic, "wooded oasis" and a central hub for recreation in the Sheridan community. The park offers a diverse range of amenities, including an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, fishing access along a tree-lined creek, and a large children’s playground. During the summer months, the park’s bandshell becomes a focal point for the "Concerts in the Park" musical series, held every Tuesday.

A unique highlight of the park is the adjacent wildlife area, which houses a resident herd of buffalo and elk. Visitors are invited to photograph the animals from designated viewing areas along the fenced enclosure, with springtime offering a chance to see newborn calves. While the park provides ample space for both family gatherings and solitary relaxation, visitors are reminded that the wildlife is for viewing only and should not be fed.
